MEGAN: What I learned on P

What I learned in Dance Company… Well first of all, I just wanted to say that Dance Company has been one of the funnest experiences I have done in a while. Last year I was debating whether or not I should do it, and I and so grateful that I did.  Through this year, I was able to make about 30 new friends (give or take a few that I already knew), expand on my dancing knowledge and technique, and I was able to have so much fun.  I have learned so many things this year.  Teamwork is one of those things. Even though I have been on many, many teams in the past, this year has expanded my love for being on a team.  I could always count on my peers in Dance Company, who were not only my classmates, but they were my friends. I also learned the importance of hard work and dedication.  During concert week, let me tell you, it can get pretty tough.  One night we even stayed at the school until 10 pm, only to leave because the janitors kicked us out.  It takes a lot of hard work, but it is all worth it. To be on that stage with all those people watching you, with the hot bright lights shining on you with your costumes on and your makeup and hair all done up and the confidence that “you got this” is one of the best feelings ever.  I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to join PDC, and I have never regretted it. Thank you Krista Di Lello for making this year, even with its ups and downs, a wonderful senior year for me.

Brielle's End of Year Reflection

My last year on company.
Well least to say I'm very sad to be leaving company this year. It has been so great over the past 2 years that I've done it. I have had so many opportunities and learned so much form being on it for only 2 years. Something that I really learned this year, well I learned a lot about choreographing. It's hard! But it is so rewarding in the end.I really learned how to deal with different personalities, which at times was a struggle but eventually you just learn how to love everyone. I really learned the importance of team work. This was one of the closest nit team I have ever been on and I'm going to miss you all very much.

When: Saturday May 24th @ 5:00 PM
Location: tba (outside / park)
What to bring:
           - potluck summer food (I will send out or post up a sign up form)
           - your current transcript (you must have at least a 2.8 gpa to be on company)
           - yourself and a parent

We will review the contract/demerit system and expectations/requirements of PDC
We will check and update everyone's contact information
We will "get-to-know-you"
We will discuss some summer options and opportunities for those around in the summer
We will hand out all of our big important dates for the upcoming year

If you are willing to help in organizing this event, parents and/or dancers, please email me with what you can do or contribute.


I understand that not everyone will be able to be in attendance, as we have 2 dancers who are out-of-state and are moving in.  Everyone else, if you can please make an effort to be there, that would be great.  If you have to bring your whole family to make it happen, go for it (as long as we have enough food).

Those on the list for PDC, please confirm with me that you have seen this list, via email, face-to-face, or by writing your initials next to your name on the list on the dance room door..  Let me know if anything is different.  Please note our concert is coming up next week, so my time will short.
When you check off that you have seen the list I will give you the information for the new member / get-to-know-you meeting before the end of school.

If you have a * by your name, you need to come and speak with me personally.
If you have - forms by your name, it means that I have not received all the forms needed, such as parent permission, signed contract, or teacher recommendations.

PDC Summer Dance Camp Dates

Our Dance Camp will be:
August 4th-9th

The first 4 days will be at Lone Peak High School.
The last 2 days will be at the Rose Wagner Theater in SLC doing the RW High School Workshop.
